Assessment, Motivation, Nutrition

Whether new to exercise or a seasoned gym user, we commence with an assessment to establish a baseline and explore your goals; This includes strategies to keep you highly motivated and on plan. We will review your nutritional needs to support your goals which may complement weight maintenance, weight loss, weight gain or shape change.

Core Strength

The Core group of muscles that stabilise and control the pelvis and spine (including but not limited to, the muscles of the back, abdomen, and pelvis) can be strengthened to improve posture, balance and overall strength and stability. Strong core muscles are essential in maintaining posture and help prevent injury and pain, both when exercising and in day to day life.

Functional Fitness

Training designed to strengthen and prepare your body for daily activities; essential movements such as bending, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting and lunging in any number of combinations!  Whilst improving your strength, power and fitness in the gym, functional training will also support you in every day activities in life. Functional training incorporates the use of power bags, medicines balls, cables, bands and kettle bells to name a few apparatus.

Strength & Cardiovascular Conditioning

Using tried and tested systems of lifting and pushing weights, strength conditioning is achieved using free weights, fixed machines, bar bells and dumbbells.
Cardiovascular conditioning focuses on increasing your heart rate for set periods of time with the aim of building endurance, improving circulation and heart health. This is can be achieved in a number of ways including running, walking, cycling, rowing, swimming and circuit training.

Injury Prevention, Injury Rehabilitation, Postural Improvement

Key to staying injury free is maintaining a balanced approach to exercise.  It is vital to incorporate a programme that includes cardiovascular and functional fitness, joint flexibility, strength and core conditioning.  If you experience recurring injury, we utilise specific strategies to target areas of physical activity to prevent relapse.

If you are returning to exercise post injury or surgery, we will implement a phased approach using specific strength and conditioning exercises to rehabilitate and support you getting you back to full fitness.

Event Fitness

We will tailor your exercise program and nutrition to build and support you in the lead up to any event, enabling you to be physically and mentally prepared for the big day!
